Higher productivity, lower energy consumption and offloading of the machine-drive – these are the highlights of the new carbon, ultra-light clamping devices that HAINBUCH, now offers for machine tools as well as for machining centers. Thanks to the new material the new carbon fiber clamping devices are as much as two thirds lighter than the standard versions, however they are even stronger and more rigid – with identical clamping force values.
Particularly for smaller machining centers the weight of clamping device and work piece plays a major role. The more dynamic the machine the lower the weight of the moving masses that must be maintained. This is the only way to achieve reasonable traverse speeds of the individual axes. In addition this protects the machine components. Machine accuracy is also increased. Considering the set-up process for clamping devices or a pallet system that must be changed manually, according to the Employers' Liability Insurance Association, a maximum lifting weight of approx. 15 kg represents an additional drawback. In this area as well, often it is only lightweight clamping devices that make a solution even possible.
