Even good things can be improved! This is the case with our successful SPANNTOP system, which we have consistently reworked, and which is now being replaced by a brand new generation of chucks: SPANNTOP nova. This development represents more than 20 years of SPANNTOP experience. And this experience utilizes all the advantages of the latest machine tools.
For example the position orientated basic end-stop of the »combi pull-back« type is completely new. It can be conveniently changed from outside via the three countersunk clamp screws in the chuck, and for the first time top concentricity and complete through-bore capacity are enabled for standard chucks.
The components are not only optimized for balance quality and having an extended guide length, the clamping length of the work pieces is also significantly greater. This chuck is designed for maximum RPM and holding power at an ideal concentricity, and it is even more rigid, more precise and has a longer service life than its predecessor.
And naturally your existing clamping heads also fit into the SPANNTOP nova chuck.
The HAINBUCH system has been extended:
- SPANNTOP nova gives you even more capabilities and the HAINBUCH modular system has also been expanded considerably. For an overview, click the link »What your chuck can do« on the right.
- The combi pull-back type still has one end-stop only. Top concentricity and complete through-bore are combined in one product.
- In the future you can not only work with MANDO Adapt and jaw adapters on the SPANNTOP nova chucks, you can also work with the new hexagon TOPlus clamp concept. The conversion to TOPlus increases the holding power even more, in addition to a virtually perfect seal against dirt and chips. Simply change chuck body and clamping head.
- Chuck balancing in two planes? No problem with SPANNTOP nova pull-back - even directly on your machine with your work piece.
SPANNTOP combi pull-back has axial vertical end-stop for chuck elements, in addition to a full through-bore for bar work. Without the inserted end-stop, this variant corresponds to the SPANNTOP modular.
Optimum holding power
The extremely simple conversion from axial clamping force to radial holding power causes only minimal friction loss. The result: optimum holding power. The pull-back effect is extremely advantageous for use with work pieces with a short clamping lenght.
Extreme rigidity
The chuck jaws of the clamping head act as wedges between the work piece and the solid chuck body, providing rigidity for the overall system. Ideal condisions for efficient turning and milling operations with high metal removal rates, long tool life, and ideal for hard turning.
Unique precision
What could be better: complete finish-grinding of the clamping heads takes place in a single clamping setup. This maintains the concentric accuracy even after change-over of the clamping head.
Combi pull-back: with a fixed end-stop for chucking work and a throughbore for bars and tubes
- Clamps work pieces with short clamping length
- Axial draw force against the end-stop, which stabilizes the clamping [important for shorter clamping lengths]
- Little inertia loss
- Extremely rigid
- Optimal holding power
- Concentricity < 0,01 mm
- Converts to a »bar chuck« when the end-stopplate is removed
- Power conversion directly via the chuck taper without complicated mechanism
